Splint/Soft Cast Placement
When you have a fracture diagnosed on an Xray, a splint/soft cast will help to stabilize the bone pieces. A trained provider at our urgent care places the splint to reduce pain and protect your bone as it heals.
Abscess Drainage
An abscess is an infected cavity in the skin. Abscesses are associated with significant pain, discomfort, and drainage. In most cases, abscesses need to be cut and drained to remove the pus in the cavity. This relieves the pain and pressure, and helps in faster resolution of symptoms. Laceration Repair
A laceration is a cut that goes through the skin. If a cut or break in the skin is big or deep, it needs medical attention right away. A large laceration needs stitches or staples to close the wound and stop the bleeding. The providers at Lani City Medical Urgent Care are trained to place the sutures and provide wound care.
Ingrown Toenail
An ingrown toenail occurs when your nail grows into the skin around the nail bed. You may experience pain, redness, and swelling in that area. If the symptoms worsen, walk in to one of our urgent care centers as the ingrown part of the toenail might need to be removed.
Cyst Removal
Procedure
A cyst is a lump under the skin. Any lump or bump in the skin needs medical attention. Most cysts are benign or non-cancerous. Cyst removal is usually desired if it is causing pain, itching, redness, or for cosmetic reasons. Wart Removal
Skin warts are growths on the skin caused by HPV. OTC treatments are usually ineffective. If they are painful, persistent, or bothersome, a provider at Lani City Medical Urgent Care can remove it. You do not need an appointment, although you can schedule one if you prefer to.
Joint Injections
Knee pain, shoulder pain, and wrist pain are a few reasons to consider joint injection. If you have been in pain and oral medications are not helping, walk in to one of our urgent care facilities. We will be able to perform an Xray and administer the injection.
Foreign Body Removal
Most foreign bodies, either in the ear, nose, or skin, can be removed by a skilled provider at Lani City Medical Urgent Care.
